STANLEY WHITNEY

Stanley Whitney, born in Philadelphia in 1946, resides in New York City and Parma, Italy. He is a Professor Emeritus of Painting and Drawing at Tyler School of Art, Temple University, and earned his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and his MFA from Yale. Following his time at Yale, he moved away from the politically-driven art landscape of the 1970s and 1980s, defying the expectation for African American artists to directly confront issues of racial and cultural identity.

KEITH HARING

Keith Haring, born in 1958 in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, was taught to draw by his father. In 1978, he relocated to New York City to attend the of Visual Arts, where he openly embraced his within the lively hip-hop and art culture. Partnering with artists such as Kenny Scharf and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Haring cultivated his distinctive visual style. He produced public chalk drawings in subway stations and murals globally, earning international acclaim while frequently operating outside conventional art venues.

Jennifer Guidi, born in 1972 in Redondo Beach, now lives and works in Los Angeles. Her artwork showcases intricate designs that blend vibrant under-painting with a cement-like mix of sand, paint, and acrylic polymers, skillfully manipulated with hand-carved tools to unveil underlying layers. Guidi's creations are inspired by Modernist minimalism and spiritual abstraction, reminiscent of Agnes Martin and Hilma af Klint, as she crafts meditative pieces that symbolize energy sources and circulatory systems.
